The additional documents No. 5 to the CSP 2022-2032 have been signed

The Railway Reform Authority (RRA) informs that the additional documents No. 5 to the Public Service Contracts, provided for in art. 1-6 of Government Decision no. 1453/2022 (CSP 2022 – 2032), concluded with those 6 railway transport operators (OTF), respectively: SNTFC “CFR Călători” S.A., Interregional Călători S.R.L., Softrans S.R.L., Transferoviar Călători S.A., Regio Călători S.R.L., and Astra Trans Carpatic S.R.L., have been approved, and the decision to approve them has been submitted for publication in the Official Gazette, following the receipt of the Competition Council’s opinion.

The signing of the new additional documents aims to modify the unit value of the preliminary compensation, so that, considering the increase in the costs of providing passenger rail transport services in 2024, the continuity of services can be ensured in correlation with the payment of salary rights, obligations to the State Budget, to the railway infrastructure administrator, suppliers, energy, diesel fuel, railroad rolling stock repairs, etc.

Based on the provisions of these contractual documents, the operators have undertaken to provide public passenger rail transport services, in accordance with the transport schedule established for the period January 1 – December 31, 2024.
